India Post, the world’s largest postal network, is going through a major change. During the winter session of Parliament, Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya Scindia highlighted key achievements and reforms that are reshaping the system. 1. India Post runs the world’s largest postal network. With 1.64 lakh post offices, India Post holds the record for the world’s largest postal network, reaching citizens even in the most remote locations. (Image: PIB)

2. More than 2.78 lakh Gramin Dak Sevaks keep the system running. A dedicated workforce of 2.78 lakh GDs support postal operations across the country. The minister praised them for delivering not only mail but also “emotions from one human being to another”. (Image: India Post/X)
