Independent Readers have since reacted with surprise and disbelief. mohammed salah accused liverpool “Throwing him under the bus” and making him a scapegoat For the poor form of the team.
the egyptian who has been sold Arne Slott For the last three matches, he said he no longer had a relationship with the manager and accused the club of breaking promises made to him.
Salah indicated that he could go liverpool Next weekend’s Brighton game will potentially serve as his farewell, following the African Cup of Nations.
Readers were divided by his comments. Some expressed sympathy towards Salah, equaling his record of 250 career goals and 47 goal involvements the previous season, and criticized Liverpool for bypassing a player of his caliber.
Others argued that age and form inevitably influence a player’s starting place – and that no individual, no matter their previous contributions, is greater than the team.
Here’s what you had to say:
Slot doesn’t know its best team
Slot doesn’t know its best team. Kwanzaa should never have been sold. Konate is a liability we can no longer rely on. Also, we should never have gone ahead with the Isak Agreement after signing Ekitike.
We will be lucky to reach the top six. The amount of money spent on so few players in the summer is criminal. If Klopp was still there we would never be careless with the club’s money!!
Salah ended a glorious association
So Salah ended a wonderful association with Liverpool by throwing his dummy out of the car as he was sacked due to poor performances. This is a very sad thing. And rather pathetic. No player is bigger than the club. He never understood this.
disgusting behavior with advice
It’s disgusting what they’re doing to Salah, even though he’s given them his whole heart, and it’s so obvious that they’re pushing him out!
I’m very disappointed in Liverpool – we don’t treat our players like this! A lot of our players are out of form but they are still playing every match, yet they keep putting Salah on the bench and not even bringing him on the bench! This is a slap in the face to them for everything they have done!
Why pay him big money to stay?
What is surprising is why they paid such a huge amount for him to stay and then paid such huge sums for two strikers who were not even close to his quality, yet they did not look for a quality replacement or back-up for Van Dijk, who has lost a yard due to injuries or age. Still a good player, but nowhere near his best.
If Slott – or whoever – didn’t think he was good enough, they should have taken advantage of the advice. Salah, now a seriously wealthy man, doesn’t do himself any favors in shouting like a baron.
running on fumes
Salah and Virgil both died at the end of the season and are now just running on fumes. He was a great player, but now it’s time to move him on.
Riding on the back of Klopp’s team
Winning the EPL last season highlights the inadequacies of the slot.
Klopp left behind a well-rounded and well-rounded team that had recently won both the Champions League and Premier League A few seasons ago, there was potential for more success. Slott rode the back of Klopp’s team to claim the trophy and never once acknowledged Klopp’s talent.
Then, while trying to prove that he could build a better team, he weakened the team left by Klopp, spending too much money in areas that Liverpool did not need to improve (attack) and ignoring areas that needed immediate attention (defense).
Jurgen Klopp Never spent, and never would have spent, the kind of money slots used.
Now he is trying to make Salah a scapegoat while ignoring the poor performances of Van Dijk and Konate. There is no mention of Isak’s greed in pursuing him even after he finds Akitike. There is no mention of Florian Wirtz’s waste of money.
Instead of admitting that he made serious mistakes in signing both players, he makes excuses. Salah should move on and let’s see Liverpool try to win another league or CL. The truth is that Arne Slott would never win another title at Liverpool.
It’s time to bring Klopp back – if Liverpool want exciting, free-flowing football again.
By the way, I am an Arsenal supporter.
improvements on the field
Had there been improvement on the field, one might have more easily accepted Slott’s decision to bench Salah. This has not made even the slightest difference to Liverpool’s style of play.
Benching advice seems trivial
Refusing advice only makes the slot look petty and vindictive. When I’ve watched Liverpool play with Salah this season it’s noticeable that he doesn’t get the ball as often or as quickly as he did last season.
Alexander-Arnold was instrumental in making Salah effective and his departure has left Liverpool vulnerable despite bringing in Wirtz, Isak and Akitike.
Liverpool are also missing Luis Diaz or Jota on the left, which is causing havoc – that’s where Salah used to get his chances. Gakpo does not have that much influence.
Liverpool gambled on three huge summer signings totaling more than £300 million and apart from Ekitaik, none of it paid off. In my opinion Isak doesn’t suit Liverpool’s style and they should have given up on Akitike.
Salah deserves better than this.
Can people really be this stupid?
Rooney warned them
Rooney brought this up a while back when he said Salah had shots in his legs and was a lazy player, then showed examples. Liverpool became emotional with Salah in a way Sir Alex never did at United. When a player got weak, they would be out the door and they would take the cash inside.
Chelsea did this with Hazard – they saw the best in him and took a big fee from Madrid. Liverpool should have done the same with Salah when the Saudis offered stupid money. Now its value has become very low, if anyone will buy it.
Jota’s death caused a deep shock
I think Jota’s death had a deep impact on him. That can’t possibly mean that he won’t have to fight for his place. On the other hand, Slott seems like a terrible guy manager and not the greatest manager in general.
no one is bigger than the club
There is no one bigger than the club. The advice form has been malfunctioning for some time now. He has to accept that he can’t always start at the end of his Liverpool career. No one is blaming him for all the problems. Our defense has been poor and other players look tired. The manager is simply trying to get the best balance with what he has.
liverpool’s problem is slots
Football is a team sport. The team plays as a unit and no one person can be blamed except the manager. Salah has fallen out of grace because of who he is and who the slot is.
Even when Salah doesn’t play, Liverpool doesn’t get better. Meanwhile the average Gakpo – who always tries to score from ridiculous angles rather than pass – keeps his place. Their statistics confirm this.
Liverpool’s problem is slots. They have sold their best players and paid huge sums for others who don’t make the cut in a Liverpool shirt.
It’s time for Salah to step up and show he still has what it takes Premier League,
tragic loss of jota
Two things.
The tragic loss of Diogo Jota has deeply affected everyone at Liverpool.
Secondly, no matter how good a player like Salah is, eventually his feet will rise.
Liverpool should stick with the slot.
greedy shopping
Won a slot with Klopp’s second great team. Their arrogant poor man management and greedy purchases are responsible for this. He had a solid attack with Salah, Gakpo, Ekitike, Chiesa and Rio and those five won the first five games. There was no need to buy Isak and Florian Wirtz.
