Melissa McCarthy had surprising reactions to that apparent weight loss and so hosted Saturday night Live For the sixth time this weekend.
The two-time Oscar nominee kicked off the long-running NBC sketch show wearing a black velvet jumpsuit with jewel-encrusted shoulders, before falling through a giant artificial blizzard.

In McCarthy’s monologue he asked for “a little Christmas magic” from the show’s stage crew.
“So how about we add some ice to get in the holiday mood?” He said. “it is snlDon’t be stingy with the ice!”
However, it soon turned from a storm to an avalanche as a wave of fake snow fell on top of him. “Okay, that was too much!” he said before continuing the monologue.
Earlier this year, there was a backlash after she commented on a photo of Barbra Streisand McCarthy asked on Instagram if she was taking the weight loss drug Ozempic.
McCarthy again took to Instagram to address the comments where she defended the EGOT winner.
“The takeaway – does Barbra Streisand know I exist? She reached out to me. And she thought I looked good. I win the day,” she wrote.
