Roads in Telangana will be named after Ratan Tata, Donald Trump

The Telangana government on Sunday, November 7, said it has decided to name the upcoming greenfield radial road in the proposed RRR in honor of late industrialist Ratan Tata.

In another proposal, a high-profile road along the Consulate General of the United States of America in Hyderabad will be named ‘Donald Trump Avenue’, the government said in a release.

The state government will write a letter to the Union Ministry of External Affairs and the US Embassy and give information about the schemes.

Earlier this year, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, while addressing the annual US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) conference in Delhi, had proposed naming major roads in Hyderabad after major global corporations.

Additionally, a prominent section will be named ‘Google Street’ to recognize the global impact and contribution of Google and Google Maps.

The road along Google’s upcoming campus, which will be the company’s largest campus outside the US in Hyderabad’s financial district, will receive the recognition, the release said.

These proposals are part of the Telangana government’s initiative to establish the state as a hub of innovation-driven growth.

Microsoft and Wipro are also expected to be recognized in the city’s topography with Wipro Junction and Microsoft Road in line with the Chief Minister’s vision, the release said.

The state government is considering dedicating additional roads in honor of distinguished individuals and corporations.
