Longtime readers of WLT Report know I’m not a big fan of Mormonism…
Sorry guys, but I’m not like that.
My #1 driving mission behind this website is to publish the truth and there is not a lot of truth in Mormonism.
What’s worse is that they dress themselves as “Christians” and call themselves Christians, but they are not. not by a long shot.
Even basic logic would tell you this, because if they were only Christians, they wouldn’t need to keep knocking on my door to “convert” me!
I will delve deeper into why I find Mormonism so dangerous, but for now I want to show you this video on the BYU campus (the most prominently Mormon area) and show you what students on campus say are their favorite “Bible” verses.
Spoiler alert: I’m sure you haven’t heard of any of these if you’re Christian and not Mormon:
BYU students are asked their favorite “scripture” at a football game, and unfortunately, only a few answers are actually scriptures…

If you’re like me, you may be interested in what those verses actually say…
So I went out and researched each one for you and I’ll group them into two categories: Biblical and non-Biblical.
Attractive accessories:
đź“– Christian Bible verses
These verses are found in the traditional Christian Bible, especially in the books of the New Testament. Matthew And Romansand the book of the Old Testament Isaiah,
Matthew 6:7
And when you pray, do not murmur like the heathen, for they think that they will be heard because of their many words. (NIV)
Matthew 7:6
“Do not give what is holy to the dogs; and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and they turn and tear you to pieces.” (NKJV)
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose. (KJV)
Romans 5:3
Not only this, but we are also proud of our sufferings, because suffering breeds perseverance: (NIV)
Isaiah 10
This is for reference entire chapterWhich is too long to include here. Isaiah chapter 10 is mainly concerned with God’s judgment on Assyria For their pride and oppressive acts, the salvation of the remnant of Israel was foretold thereafter.
📜Book of Mormon Verses
These verses are found in the Book of Mormon, a foundational text for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (often referred to as Mormons).

Helaman 5:12
And now, minens, remember, remember that it is on the rock of our Saviour, who is Christ, the Son of God, that you must build your foundation; That when Satan blows his fierce storm, yes, shoots his arrows in the whirlwind, yes, when all his hail And his strong storm will fall on you, there will be no strength left in it Pull you into the abyss of sorrow and endless sorrow, because the rock on which you are built is a sure foundation, a foundation on which if men build they cannot fall.
Alma 7:23-24
23 And now I want you to be humble and submissive And gentle; It is easy to pray; Full of patience and tolerance; To be self-controlled in all things; Be diligent in obeying God’s commandments at all times; Ask for whatever things you need, both spiritual and temporal; Always thank God for whatever you receive. 24 And see that you have faith, hope and charity, and then you will always abound in good works.
1 Nephi 3:7
And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my fatherThere: I will go and do what the Lord has commanded, for I know that the Lord gives no command to the children of men, except that He will prepare a way for them so that they may accomplish what He commands them.
Alma 26:11-12

Yes, come to Christ, and be made perfect in Him, and deny yourselfof all unrighteousness itself; And if you will deny yourselves of all unrighteousness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, His grace is sufficient for you, that by His grace you may be complete in Christ; And if by the grace of God you are complete in Christ, you can in no way deny His power.
You learn something new every day…I always thought Helaman 5:12 said: “You’ll buy mayonnaise at the store, Hellmann’s brand only, and put it on everything you eat!”
Okay, I digress…
For a more serious explanation of why I find Mormons so dangerous and confusing, keep reading:
From time to time, I like to bring you something a little out of the ordinary.
Out of the ordinary, at least for what we usually cover.
This is one of those articles.
I got this a while back and it’s been on my list of things to do whenever I have time.
Today is the day and being Sunday it seemed like the right time.
Warning: This may cause discomfort to some people.
Sorry about this, but I have to post the truth and exposing the Mormon religion is something that needs to be posted.
By “expose” I mean only publish what they actually believe.
And that’s what John MacArthur is doing in this video.
So if you get excited, that’s okay – I’m still going to post it.
See here, it’s short:

Audience member:
To Dr. MacArthur, yesterday you talked a little about Mormonism, and today about how Jesus is the only way. At my school and places, I encountered these people, and yes, we disagree, but they say we fundamentally believe, we also believe in Jesus, and we believe that He died on the cross. I was wondering how I could talk to them and how I would approach them, like, I don’t want to call them demon worshipers or anything like that.John MacArthur:
You can get it as per your requirement. Let’s just talk about Mormonism for a moment, because we all face it. I’ve had some great one-on-one meetings with the Theological Brain Trust at BYU, who came and spent several hours with me.Robert Millett, I don’t know if you know the name, is the guy who writes most of his writings on theology. And we have talked about all these issues. The problem lies here. They are polytheists. They have millions of gods, just millions, and more than that all the time. Every time a Mormon has a child, they take on another God.
So it is nothing but Christian in its approach to God. They have one Christ who is another Jesus. And the other Jesus is a way to preach another Jesus and you get damned. I have nothing to do with them or be a participant in their evil deeds.
But what they said to me was, “We love Jesus.” In fact, he said, “We love Jesus very much, and we want our young people at BYU to love Jesus, and so we have our students read this in some of the classes gospel according to jesus Which you wrote to help them love Jesus more.”
I got scared. What did I leave out? That was not a good experience for me. But they told me, we also believe in grace. And they do.
They have this kind of huge grace concept that most people, even if they don’t become Mormons, won’t get. There are three heavens in Mormonism, and only one of them is where you want to be. The other two are where you are stuck being alone forever.
As you know, there’s a lot of weird sexuality in Mormonism, that’s part of it. But this is the first heaven, where grace operates. And it’s a kind of almost universalism, where just because God is merciful, he’ll let you go to that place, and it’s better than hell. Most of the people will reach that place, but you are left alone and you are stuck in a deprived situation.
But if you have a desire to reach second or third place, it would be better if you speed up your work. So in conclusion: wrong God, wrong Jesus, wrong way of salvation. They also say that the Bible is corrupt. You see it in all his literature.
The Bible has been corrupted. It is not reliable. This is not always true. This is not correct. And you have to turn to them for the correct explanation of this and all that. So I think you can start with the authority of Scripture.
You can start with the person of God. You can start with the person of Christ, or you can start with salvation by grace. He even told me, “We believe in salvation by grace.” And I said, “Okay, explain the full scope of it.” Well, God didn’t have to give us a way to get to heaven, so it’s a merciful thing that He allows us to do.
But I guess you can choose between them, or try one and then try the other, but you have to turn them away from Christianity first. That’s what they’re trying to do…they’re trying to bridge the gap. This is a tremendous effort by him.
You need to make sure they understand that it is more like Hinduism, Paganism, and false religion than it is related to Christianity. And so they need to understand this. They are nothing but Christians. They are seriously, broadly and ultimately un-Christian.
Another speaker:
John, don’t you think that there is a schizophrenia in Mormonism in the sense that in this kind of context, they desperately want to be considered Christians, but the whole rhetoric of Mormonism has been, “Christianity is corrupted, and we are the only ones who fixed it. We only understand it. But we also want to be considered one of you.” Both of those sides are played at the same time.John MacArthur:
That’s right, and the best that can be said about us who are non-Mormons is that we can get to grace heaven, the lowest heaven, and be alone forever, and with all the deprivations that come with that state.
Back up here if necessary:
And since I never like to leave you with only negativity, I give you this.
