Addressing the media after the meeting, CM Siddaramaiah said, “Whatever decision the high command will take.” [including Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi] Takes it, we both will agree. There are no differences between DK Shivakumar and me.
Siddaramaiah said the focus of their discussion was on the 2028 elections, adding that he and Shivakumar discussed the upcoming local body elections and strategies to bring the Congress back to power in 2028.
The CM stressed that there were no differences between him and Shivakumar and they would continue to work together in future also.

There is tension between the two leaders due to the alleged rotational power-sharing agreement.
According to reports, Shivkumar was promised the post of Chief Minister after half the tenure i.e. 2.5 years. However, Siddaramaiah says he has a full five-year tenure as CM and no such deal exists.
Referring to Shivakumar taking over as CM, Siddaramaiah said there was some confusion last month, but now it has been cleared. “There will be no confusion from tomorrow. There is no confusion even now. Some media journalists have created confusion,” he said.
Shivakumar said his focus is on winning the local body elections, gram panchayat elections and the 2028 assembly elections.
He said, “Both of us worked in the assembly elections. Similarly, we want to fight the 2028 elections together. There are no differences between us. There were no differences till date and there will be no differences in future also.”
Shivakumar further told reporters, “Today, we discussed our strategy for the 2028 assembly elections and how to deal with the opposition. They may try to raise many issues. We are ready to respond.”

Siddaramaiah He also dismissed speculations of a possible no-confidence motion against his government by the opposition BJP. “They (BJP and JD(S)) are saying that no no-confidence motion will be brought. We will face it,” he said.
Citing their strength in the assembly, he said, “They are only 60 and 18. We are 140. This is a futile exercise. We will face their false allegations.”
First, shivkumar Siddaramaiah was seen leaving the residence after the breakfast meeting.
