One albanian national which was twice exiled A man has been jailed after illegally re-entering the UK for the third time, prosecutors have confirmed.

Emirjon Gjuta, 34, was sentenced to 14 months in jail at Leeds Crown Court on Friday, after admitting at a previous hearing to re-entering the UK in November 2024 in breach of a 2020 deportation order.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said Gjuta was first deported in August 2020 after pleading guilty to drug offences.

He was later arrested in March 2022 for unlawful presence and deported again to Albania in March 2023, sentenced for violating his deportation order and possessing another person’s identity document.

A spokesperson said the defendant claimed he did not fully understand the contents of the deportation order because he did not have an interpreter in court in 2020 and 2022.

But he said documents signed by Gajuta confirmed he did not object to the 2020 deportation order and never sought to appeal it.

The spokesperson said it was not clear how Gujuta reached Britain in November 2024 but he was arrested in Leeds in September 2025.

Nick Smith of the CPS said: “Emirjon Gujuta had no right to live or work in the UK and has already been deported twice.

A spokesperson said it was not clear how Gujuta arrived in Britain in November 2024 but he was arrested in Leeds in September 2025.
