The iconic waxwork costume has been donated to the visitor attraction, complete with diamond jewellery, metallic platform heels and a matching bag.
Anderson shared her initial reaction to the honor: “When I got the call from Madame Tussauds to say they wanted to make a wax figure of me, I thought, Really? Who would want to see my figure on the carpet instead of a character?”
Explaining her change of heart: “Then I thought about this dress and realized, yes, it makes sense to recreate this moment at the Golden Globes.”
The actress highlighted the unexpected impact of the garment. “This costume became a bigger discussion than I anticipated, with a lot of people reacting positively for different reasons,” she said.
“I think this dress represents women’s empowerment, celebrating physical autonomy and freedom from shame. I wanted to give people a chance to stand next to it and enjoy the audacity of it.”
