Jaipur, Nov 25 (IANS) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Tuesday said that the double engine government of the Center and the state is working with full dedication for the upliftment of Sanatan culture, cow service and welfare of youth, women, laborers and farmers.
He said that adopting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of ‘Development with Heritage’, the Rajasthan government is ensuring all-round development of temples and pilgrimage sites.
Chief Minister Sharma was addressing the consecration ceremony of Shri Meera-Madhav Temple in Netra village of Pali district of Rajasthan on Tuesday.
He said that the prestige of Shri Meera-Madhav Sarkar in the temple located in the Gaushala complex is a boon.
He said, “It is a great privilege to come to this holy land made sacred by the dust of the feet of Mother Cow.”
The Chief Minister said that by worshiping Shri Krishna and Meera Bai, Netra village will become as divine as ‘Vaikuntha’ (it is the eternal spiritual abode of Hindu deity Lord Vishnu).
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, important efforts have been made across the country to preserve the Sanatan culture.
“After centuries, the grand Shri Ram temple has been completed in Ayodhya, becoming the largest cultural center in the world. Today, catering to the religious sentiments of millions of people of India, the Prime Minister hoisted the ‘Dharma flag’ at the temple.”
Chief Minister Sharma said that world class development has been done on faith centers like Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, Mahakal Corridor, Kedarnath and Badrinath.
He said that the Rajasthan government has taken important steps to promote cultural heritage in the state.
“A total of 129 fairs and cultural programs have been organised. Under the Senior Citizens Pilgrimage Scheme, more than 21,000 pilgrims were taken to Ayodhya and about 6,000 pilgrims were taken to Nepal for the darshan of Lord Pashupatinath. More than 57,000 pilgrims have been taken to various holy sites by train. Participating in the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh Special camps were set up for lakhs of devotees from Rajasthan who took it.”
The Chief Minister said that the state government has allocated Rs 2,791 crore for cow conservation and protection in Rajasthan.
“Each registered cow shed gets Rs 50 per cow and Rs 25 per calf per day. Infrastructure has been developed in 341 cow sheds, and Rs 500 crore has been allocated under the Chief Minister Milk Producer Promotion Scheme.”
On this occasion, CM Sharma also handed over a check of Rs 11 lakh to Godham Mahatirtha Pathmeda.
Rajasthan Animal Husbandry Minister Joaram Kumawat, BJP MP Madan Rathore, BJP MLA Chhagan Singh Rajpurohit, Lumbaram Chaudhary, and other public representatives were present.
Addressing the function organized by Bilawas Gaushala Seva Samiti, the Chief Minister said that the 16th incarnation Lord Shri Krishna performed divine acts in Braj and gave the immortal message of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.
He said that cow has a sacred place in Indian culture.
Urging people to promote cow protection, he said, “We give the first bread to the cow. Like rivers, trees and mountains, the cow is also worshipped.”
CM Sharma said that Prime Minister Modi believes that India will become strong only when its youth, women, laborers and farmers are empowered.
“In line with this vision, the state government is working with full commitment.”
“Farmers in Rajasthan are getting Rs 9,000 under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, along with crop insurance benefits and interest-free loans from cooperative banks,” the Chief Minister said.
“Gopal credit card, mobile veterinary services and Rs 5 per liter subsidy on milk have strengthened the cattle rearers.”
Earlier, Chief Minister Sharma performed rituals in the Yagya organized for the consecration of the idols at Shri Krishna Lord Temple and also worshiped the cow by offering jaggery.
On this occasion, Rajasthan Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Avinash Gehlot, BJP MPs Madan Rathod and PP Chaudhary, BJP MLA Shobha Chauhan and a large number of devotees were present.
