Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the 191-foot saffron flag over the Ram temple in Ayodhya on Tuesday, November 25, to mark the anniversary of the completion of its major construction work.

The four-minute ceremony is about to take place at the summit Ram Mandir During the ‘Shubh Muhurat’ between 11.52 am to 12.35 pm, which is expected to attract a large number of domestic and international visitors.

In this event, which is said to be historically and spiritually important, 21 Vedic Acharyas along with conch-blowing volunteers will also participate. Meanwhile, helicopters will shower flowers on the summit around the same time as the flag is hoisted.

According to ANI report, preparations for this important occasion are in full swing in Ayodhya. The temple and the city are being decorated with intricate flower decorations, with around 100 tonnes of flowers having been used to decorate Ayodhya for the holy occasion.

The Kalash Yatra began from Saryu Ghat in Ayodhya on Thursday, November 20, for the ceremonial flag hoisting as part of the multi-day rituals. RammandiR on November 25, PTI reports. As part of the ritual, women devotees walked on the Ram Path carrying 551 Kalash.

According to temple officials, the water collected during the yatra will be used for various religious rituals scheduled in the days before the flag hoisting ceremony at the Ram temple peak.

According to an ANI report, the findings of Indologist Lalit Mishra have restored the ancient flag of Ayodhya to its rightful place. Mishra identified the flag while examining a painting from the Sachitra Ramayana of Mewar, later confirming its presence in the Ayodhya Kanda of Valmiki Ramayana.

He further said, “This flag was discovered accidentally… I had seen the flag of Ayodhya in one of the paintings of the illustrated Ramayana of Mewar. The tree on the flag is a hybrid of the Mandar and Parijat trees, created by the sage Kashyap, which may have been one of the earliest experiments in plant hybridization… I had difficulty in identifying the Kovidar and Kachnar trees, as both had the same botanical name… I am glad that The flag has returned after such a long time to the place from where it originated.”

On November 25, the temple will be open only to invited guests; No public darshan will be allowed. The site will have 15 seating areas named after historical sages, as well as a 200 feet wide LED screen that will telecast the ceremony live.
