Itanagar, Nov 22 (IANS) Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lieutenant General KT Paranaik (Retd) on Saturday stressed that every department of the state should make full and effective use of the PM Gatishakti reserves while planning and implementing developmental projects.
The Governor reviewed the implementation and utilization of PM Gati Shakti in the state during a meeting at Raj Bhavan.
He said the powerful platform, with its repository of integrated data, can significantly enhance the state’s ability to plan better, avoid delays and ensure better coordination across all sectors.
The Governor further suggested that, in addition to GatiShakti, the state should consider developing its own dedicated application, which is an integrated digital tool designed to support governance.
He said such applications would help officials analyze data more efficiently, plan projects with greater accuracy and monitor progress in real time. He said this will aid in efficient governance, strengthen administrative effectiveness and also ensure that development reaches the people in a faster and more transparent manner.
Lieutenant General Paranayak (Retd) also advised the officers to explore applications for monitoring and analysis of Vibrant Village Programme, disaster management, anti-narcotics and agro-horticulture projects.
State Chief Secretary, Manish Gupta, Commissioner (Planning), Ankur Garg briefed the Governor about the PM Gatishakti Portal and its processes, while Director, Arunachal Pradesh Space Applications Centre, Dr H. Dutta presented a PowerPoint presentation on its applications.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Planning, RK Sharma, Secretary Information Technology, Sonal Swarup, Scientist of Arunachal Pradesh Space Applications Centre, Dr. S. Acharjee and PM Gatishakti Data Center Young Professional, Wapol Mosang participated.
On the 75th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the ‘PM Gati Shakti’ initiative during his address to the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort.
PM Gati Shakti includes infrastructure schemes of various ministries and state governments, such as Bharatmala, Sagarmala, inland waterways, dry/land ports and UDAN. 44 central ministries and 36 states and union territories have joined the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan (NMP).
