Delhi Traffic Police on Friday said traffic movement around the Ram Bagh Road-Azad Market stretch will be affected for three days due to the ongoing repair work on the Kishan Ganj railway underpass.

According to an advisory, a dilapidated steel structure is being repaired on the railway underbridge, which will require diversion of heavy vehicles and DTC buses from November 21 to 23.

However, light motor vehicles will be allowed to pass through this route. Commuters have been urged to avoid this route and plan their journey accordingly, the advisory said.

“Traffic coming from Shastri Nagar towards the underpass will be diverted towards New Rohtak Road from KD Chowk via Veer Banda Bairagi Marg, Swami Narayan Marg, Kamal T-Point and before merging at Rani Jhansi Road and Azad Market Chowk.

“Another diversion has been scheduled from Y-Point Kishanganj via Old Rohtak Road, Swami Narayan Marg and Kamal T-Point,” it said.

Police have advised motorists to avoid Azad Market underpass from Kishanganj side, obey on-ground traffic personnel and consider alternative routes via KD Chowk and Y-Point Kishan Ganj.
