New Delhi, Nov 21 (IANS) Responding to RJD’s allegation of increasing nepotism after NDA came to power in Bihar, BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain on Friday said RJD should be worried about its position as it can lose the status of opposition leader at any time.
Speaking to IANS, Shahnawaz Hussain said, “Our government has been formed, and RJD has nothing left to say. A stable government has been installed under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. Bihar now has the most experienced chief minister and ministers. Many new and young faces have come forward. There is a wave of happiness throughout Bihar and with the blessings of the Prime Minister, the state is ready to move towards development.”
Commenting on RJD’s claim that 10 NDA ministers are from political families, Hussain said, “RJD failed to perform well, and that is why they are claiming that 10 leaders are from the same family. If a leader’s son joins politics, it is wrong to call it nepotism. BJP leaders are talented and capable. RJD still has the post of leader of the opposition, but I had predicted that they will not win. They will only Could get 25 seats, while NDA got more than 200 seats. Now, some leaders may leave the party, and they may lose their LOP status in future.
On Thursday evening, the RJD released a list of 10 ministers in the Nitish cabinet, whom it claims come from political families. These include Santosh Sumit Manjhi, Samrat Chaudhary, Deepak Prakash, Shreyasi Singh, Rama Nishad, Vijay Chaudhary, Ashok Chaudhary, Nitin Nabin, Sunil Kumar and Leshi Singh.
On Thursday, Nitish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 10th time, which is a historic milestone in the politics of the state. 26 ministers took oath along with him in the newly formed NDA government.
The cabinet includes 14 ministers from BJP, 8 from JDU, 2 from LJP (RV), 1 from RLM and 1 from HAM. Among these, Samrat Chaudhary has emerged as the second most influential leader after Nitish Kumar.
