New Delhi, November 20 (IANS) After NDA’s recent landslide victory in the assembly elections, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta reached Patna on Thursday to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Minister of Bihar.

On reaching Patna, Gupta told reporters, “This is a victory of people’s faith, a victory of the government’s efforts and a victory of the development of Bihar.”

Many NDA leaders including the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Ministers of the NDA ruled state have reached Gandhi Maidan in Patna for the oath ceremony.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also reached Patna and said, “There is an atmosphere of great happiness in Patna and entire Bihar.”

Wishing JDU chief Nitish Kumar, Shinde said, “Nitish Kumar is taking oath as Chief Minister for the 10th time, which is a record in itself. I congratulate him and also thank the people of Bihar for giving him this mandate.”

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also congratulated Nitish Kumar and said, “Under the leadership of our NDA and under the guidance of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar is once again moving forward focusing on good governance and development. I congratulate him and hope that under his leadership Bihar will touch new heights. May Baba Mahakal bless him.”

Additionally, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma are among the top NDA leaders attending the oath-taking ceremony.

JD(U) supremo Nitish Kumar will take oath as chief minister at Gandhi Maidan on Thursday, the tenth time he has held the top post of the state.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled to attend this function. The event, to be held at the historic Gandhi Maidan, is likely to be one of the largest political gatherings in recent years.

Considering the possibility of more than three lakh people being present in this program, elaborate security arrangements have been made. The administration has deployed additional police forces, installed surveillance cameras and kept emergency medical units on standby to ensure smooth conduct of the celebrations.
