An Australian man has been jailed after being featured in a viral video jumping the barricade at Wicked: for good Premiere in Singapore And catching Ariana Grande.

Local media reported that prosecutors sought a week in jail for Wayne, noting that he is a “serial intruder” and frequently posts videos of himself attending high-profile events, such as the Katy Perry concert earlier this year.

When District Judge Christopher Goh asked if he had anything to say about mitigation, Wen said, “I wouldn’t do it again, Your Honor,” according to The Straits Times,

The judge said, “It seems that you want to attract attention, thinking only about yourself while committing these acts and not about the safety of others.”

In the Asian city-state, the charge could have resulted in a jail sentence of up to three months, a fine of up to S$2000 ($1540; £1170), or both.

The troll faced widespread criticism on social media, particularly in light of the Manchester bombing at Grande’s concert, which killed 22 people and injured hundreds.

“Ariana’s been through a lot of scary things… and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be funny to jump the barricade?” One person wrote.

Meanwhile, Erivo was praised by fans for his quick intervention.
