Patna, November 15 (IANS) After the landslide victory of NDA in Bihar Assembly elections 2025, busy political activities have started in the state regarding the formation of the new government.
Senior leaders of BJP, JDU and allies have intensified discussions on power sharing, cabinet composition and swearing-in ceremony.
Since Saturday morning, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s residence at 1 Anne Marg has become the center of political discussions.
JDU working president Sanjay Kumar Jha and Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh were among the first to reach the Chief Minister’s residence.
Soon after, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Union Minister Chirag Paswan also arrived to meet Nitish Kumar for detailed discussions.
Senior JDU leaders Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Shyam Rajak, along with newly elected MLAs and officials, attended the meeting later.
According to sources, these meetings are focused on finalizing the cabinet structure, deciding the portfolio and preparing for the upcoming swearing-in ceremony.
After meeting Nitish Kumar, LJP-Ram Vilas leader Chirag Paswan credited the NDA’s massive victory to the Chief Minister’s leadership and unity efforts.
He highlighted that Nitish Kumar’s decision to openly support the alliance – such as publicly showing his inked finger during voting – sent a strong message of solidarity.
LJP-Ram Vilas’ support to JD(U) played a positive role in Alauli seat.
Chirag Paswan said, “The rumors of internal differences within the NDA were politically motivated and the landslide victory proved the strength of the alliance.”
He said the NDA’s victory is a mandate for stability, unity and development and the new government will move forward with even stronger coordination.
With all NDA allies indicating full cooperation and confidence in the leadership of Nitish Kumar, the final outlines of the new government are expected to be announced soon.
The cabinet is likely to include a balanced representation of the BJP, JD(U) and smaller allies, reflecting the unity shown during the campaign.
