AIMIM has won 5 seats, while Congress has 4 seats. RJD and LJPRV have won 3 seats each, and IIP has won 1 seat, reflecting the region’s fragmented but competitive political landscape.
8 , 9Tirhut Tirhut – which includes Muzaffarpur, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Vaishali and East and West Champaran – is the largest constituency in Bihar with 49 assembly seats. While Champaran remains the NDA stronghold, close contests are going on in Sitamarhi and Muzaffarpur. The area has a diverse population of upper castes, OBCs and large EBC communities such as Dhanuk and Mallah. As of 6:00 pm, vote counting shows that BJP is leading on 27 seats, followed by JDU 13, LJPRV 5, RJD 2 and Congress and RLM one seat each.
