“You always prepare for a team that plays its best,” Farrell said.
“When I say their at their best, that’s what you’ve seen before, and you always expect how they can be better than that.
“If you look at the game last year (in Dublin), the form, how they handled the Lions tour, won the last Test and then went to Johannesburg and became world champions with a great performance there.
“Whether they win or lose, it will always be there.
“They’ll obviously be sore from last week and they’ve got some players coming in from the outside who probably don’t have any baggage and have nothing to lose, and are looking to fix some mistakes.
“And when you look at their athletic ability and ability as a team, it makes them dangerous.”
Farrell has made nine changes to his starting XV, including handing a full debut to 22-year-old prop Paddy McCarthy, selecting Mac Henson at full-back and Sam Prendergast On the half fly.
