Indian anti-terrorism officials are investigating Kashmir links DelhiSecurity forces on Friday demolished the house of a suspect in the Federal Himalayan region amid the Red Fort blast.

According to multiple media reports, Jammu and Kashmir authorities razed the house of Omar Nabi, a Kashmiri doctor working at Al Falah University in the city of Faridabad, near the Indian capital, in Pulwama city of Kashmir.

Investigators suspect Nabi was the driver of the explosive-laden Hyundai i20 car that exploded at a traffic signal near the iconic Mughal monument last week.

Police said, “Six persons associated with the subversive network were brought to police stations and detained under law in Baramulla. 22 properties linked to terrorist associates were searched and 20 terrorist associates were detained and 02 were sent to jail under preventive custody.”

Mr Modi’s Cabinet, in a resolution, said: “The country has witnessed a heinous terrorist incident carried out by anti-national forces through a car blast.

“Cabinet directs that the incident be investigated with utmost promptness and professionalism so that the perpetrators, their associates and their sponsors are identified and brought to justice without any delay.”

According to reports, about 26 days before the Delhi blasts, posters declaring affiliation with Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed were seen in towns in Kashmir.

The poster warns people not to give shelter to Indian security forces, saying, “We warn of strict action against local people who do not follow this warning.”

At least seven people, including two doctors, were arrested and police seized weapons and a large quantity of bomb-making material in Faridabad, a city in Haryana state near Delhi.
