The Pokémon Company has confirmed on its website that the Poképark will operate within Yomiuriland, an amusement park in the Tama Hills, west of central Kanto. tokyoand occupies approximately 26,000 square meters of landscaped forest and city-themed grounds.
This will obviously be based on the franchise’s roots: the fictional “Kanto” region of the original video games (1996’s Pokémon Red and Green) was based on the real-life Kanto region of Japan.
The Pokémon Company began teasing the park earlier this month with a promotional video and early concept art, including a hand-drawn map and a short trailer showing off parts of the themed landscape. Visitors will enter through the “Pokémon Research Lab” which serves as a gateway to two sections of the park: Pokémon Forest and Sage Town.
The park will be divided into two main areas: “Pokémon Forest”, a woodland trail featuring over 600 Pokémon placed in natural terrain, with some Pokémon figures large enough for children to sit on or “ride” as part of the encounter; and “Sage Town”, a small walkable settlement animated with performances and themed attractions. It will also include shows and character presentations, as well as a Pokémon Center, the series’ iconic healing center.
According to official materials, the park is “a Pokémon-packed trainer’s arena, where Pokémon trainers can embark on unforgettable adventures through the forest and city”.
Tickets will be sold through an early lottery and pre-sale system from November 21, 2025, with two main ticket types to be announced: Trainer Pass and Ace Trainer Pass.
Admission includes access to the two main areas of the park, with premium “Ace Trainer” passes offering additional benefits such as priority entry, reserved seating for live shows, and exclusive merchandise.
