On November 10, the blast near Red Fort metro station in New Delhi shook the country. At least 12 people died and many were injured after a powerful explosion.

Investigating officials said the explosion was “premature” because the bomb was not fully developed. Over 200 raids were conducted across Jammu and Kashmir and several arrests were made in connection with the suspected “terrorist module” behind the blasts.

The list of arrests made so far in this case is as follows:

Dr. Muzammil Ghani: He is a resident doctor at Al-Falah Medical College and Hospital in Dhauj, Faridabad. He was arrested after the police recently busted a white-collar terror module, which revealed that he had conducted reconnaissance of the Red Fort area several times in January this year. Dr. Muzammil visited the Red Fort several times to study the security arrangements and crowd density patterns. Their activities were confirmed through tower location data and CCTV footage collected from nearby areas.

He hails from Koil village in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir and is now a central figure in the investigation of the Red Fort blast.

Investigators told Hindustan Times that they believe Muzammil was responsible for storing and transporting explosives in the National Capital Region.

Shaheen Shahid: A woman doctor was part of the newly formed Jamaat-ul-Mominat, an outfit launched by the banned Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) last month. Authorities alleged that Dr. Saeed, who is believed to be in her mid-30s and was part of Al-Falah University in Faridabad, was in contact with her handlers in Pakistan with possible instructions to recruit more women for terrorist activities.

Dr Shaheen’s alleged role indicates that Jaish is following the ISI’s policy of recruiting female attackers.

A government source said The Hindu An assault rifle was seized from his car. She is a close friend of Dr. Muzammil and knew that her car was being used to transport explosives.

Adeel Ahmed Rather: He is a resident of Qazigund in South Kashmir. He served as a Senior Resident at the Government Medical College (GMC) in Anantnag till October 2024. He was arrested on 6 November when an AK-47 rifle was recovered from his personal locker.

Jaish posters were seen in Srinagar on 27 October. During investigation, police found CCTV footage in which Adil was captured pasting the poster.

Irfan Ahmed Wagah: He is a Maulvi from Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. He was arrested on November 11 along with his wife by Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) and Srinagar Police during a late night raid at their residence.

The couple is accused of recruiting and radicalizing doctors and medical students, including those linked to the so-called “white-collar terror module” exposed in Faridabad, as well as many youth from the Valley.
