Four new Vande Bharat Express launched: check list, major routes, timings

Indian Railways now operates a total of 164 Vande Bharat Express – India’s premium semi-high-speed train. The latest additions to the series are Banaras-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express, Lucknow-Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express, Firozpur-Delhi Vande Bharat Express and Ernakulam-Coimbatore-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express.

Speaking to ANI, Dilip Kumar, Executive Director of Information and Publicity, Indian Railway Board, said, “We already have 156 Vande Bharat Express services across the country, and with the addition of eight new services, Now the total will be 164.”

About Vande Bharat Express

Vande Bharat Express is an Indian semi-high-speed train designed to modernize travel with faster and more comfortable travel. It is an indigenous Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) and showcases India’s manufacturing and engineering capabilities under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Key features include advanced safety, top speed up to 160 kmph and modern amenities like Wi-Fi, CCTV cameras, GPS-based information display, automatic doors and bio-vacuum toilets.
