Delhi blast car seen on camera during pollution check 10 days before the attack

CCTV footage shows that the Hyundai i20 responsible for the blast near Delhi’s Red Fort was subjected to pollution tests about two weeks before the blast. The video, dated October 29 at 4:20 pm, shows three men in a white car at a petrol pump in Faridabad.

A man is seen driving a car into the pollution checking booth, while the other two – one in a gray T-shirt and the other in a white T-shirt with a backpack – are later seen sitting inside the vehicle.

Another frame shows a man talking to booth officials while the car is being checked.

same car, bearing Haryana registration HR26CE7674, was used in the November 10 blast, In which 12 people died and many others were injured.

The vehicle was parked near Sunehri Masjid for more than three hours before moving to Subhash Marg near Gate No. 1, where exploded Just before 7 p.m.

Investigators have traced the car’s movements on the day of the attack. It entered Delhi through the Badarpur toll booth at 8:04 am, stopped at a petrol station near Okhla, and passed through Darya Ganj, Kashmiri Gate and Sunehri Masjid before reaching the vicinity of the Red Fort.

CCTV footage also shows a masked driver driving through dense traffic moments before the blast. The driver was reportedly Dr Omar Mohammed, who has now been identified as the suspect suicide bomber.

In new CCTV footage obtained by NDTV, Umar is seen wearing a mask and collecting toll receipt at the Badarpur toll plaza in the morning. The investigators traced the route from Asian Hospital, Faridabad at 7:30 am, crossing the toll plaza around 8:13 am and reaching Okhla at 8:20 am.

The car remained parked near the Red Fort from 3:19 pm to 6:30 pm, with Omar reportedly not leaving the vehicle.

Police sources said the car changed hands several times without formal transfer records. Originally purchased by Salman on 18 March 2014, it was later sold to Devendra, Sonu and Tariq. None of these ownership changes were updated in government records.

Delhi Police has registered a case under several sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), Explosive Substances Act and the Indian Code of Justice (BNS).

Officials told news agency ANI that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have reviewed the situation.

LNJP Hospital has confirmed that 15 injured have been brought. the blastAt least one has become stable. Three to four vehicles were also damaged in the blast and pedestrians and auto-rickshaw passengers were injured.
