New Delhi, Nov 11 (IANS) Leaders of all parties have condemned the car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort metro station and urged strict action against those responsible, highlighting the ongoing investigation by security agencies. JDU national spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan said, “…Union Home Minister Amit Shah has visited the site of the incident. Officials from NIA, forensic team and special units of Delhi Police are present at the site. Very soon, the organizations or individuals responsible for this entire incident will be exposed and strict action will be ensured against them.” BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain also expressed similar concerns, saying, “The terrorist attack in Delhi is under investigation, involving all agencies. Home Minister Amit Shah visited the site. Those responsible will not be spared. No conclusion can be drawn until the investigation is completed.” After the explosion, security arrangements are tight near the Red Fort. JDU MP Sanjay Kumar Jha expressed grief over the incident, saying, “It is very sad… If this is a terrorist incident, then strict action should be taken, the country wants peace… Condolences to the bereaved families.” Congress leader Nana Patole condemned the attack, saying, “We strongly condemn this incident, and we pray that God gives strength to the families of the innocent people who lost their lives in this blast. Secondly, I want to talk about the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. We have always opposed anyone playing with the security of the country.” RLM national president Upendra Kushwaha said, “It is certainly very sad, but the authorities concerned are keeping a close watch and the investigation is ongoing.” Investigation has revealed that the Hyundai i20 car used in the blast was purchased from a second-hand car dealer in Sector 37 of Faridabad, Haryana. The blast took place on Monday evening near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort metro station, killing at least eight people and injuring dozens. High alert has been issued in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Mumbai and security has been increased in crowded public places and around religious places. The incident occurred hours after police busted a terror module linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind in Faridabad, seizing 2,900 kg of explosives and a huge cache of weapons. Authorities also arrested two doctors from Jammu and Kashmir associated with the module, Adil Ahmed Rather and Muzammil, who allegedly panicked and caused the explosion at the Red Fort. As the investigation progresses, officials continue to scan CCTV footage and collect evidence, with the aim of ensuring justice for the victims and preventing any further security threats. –IANS rs/red
