Patna, November 10 (IANS) After the deadly explosion in a parked car near Red Fort metro station in Delhi on Monday evening, Bihar’s Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav expressed grief over the incident and demanded an impartial investigation. Tejashwi said he was deeply saddened by the tragedy, adding, “Such blasts in the national capital are worrying and painful. I express my deepest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones, and I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.” Yadav further said that when it comes to national security, the opposition always stands with the government. He said, “Nothing is more important than the sovereignty and security of the country. The Center should conduct a thorough investigation and give a transparent reply. The culprits should be taught the harshest lesson.” LJPRV national president Chirag Paswan also described the incident as “heartbreaking” and expressed condolences. Paswan said, “I express my humble condolences to all those who lost their lives in this tragic incident and my condolences to their families. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. May God grant everyone strength in these difficult times.” At least ten people were killed and over a dozen were injured in a powerful blast in a Haryana-registered car parked near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort metro station in Delhi on Monday evening. Due to the collision, many nearby vehicles caught fire. The injured have been admitted to LNJP Hospital, where their condition is being monitored. Within minutes, police, NIA, NSG and forensic teams reached the spot. The entire area has been cordoned off and CCTV footage of the area is being scanned to find out the cause of the blast. Street lights and several parked vehicles were damaged in the impact. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. He reviewed the situation with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Shah also visited LNJP Hospital and sought a detailed report from the security agencies. The Home Ministry is closely monitoring the situation. After the incident, high alert has been issued in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Mumbai.
