“Now I’m feeling very hurt because of my personal relationship, where my husband is fighting this guy, and to me, him voting for Trump is not voting for my husband and I and our family. And unfortunately because of that, my relationships with people in my family have broken down.”
The producer continued by saying that, for him, politics is no longer about “Republican versus Democrat”, but about “family values”.
“I personalize everything now. When I see these horror stories every day, I immediately get angry at some aunt, uncle, cousin who put [Trump] In power.”
Kimmel and McNerney have been married since 2013 and have two children: daughter Jen, 11, and son Billy, eight.
