Eicher Trucks & Buses on Monday launched the Eicher Pro X Diesel range, expanding its small commercial vehicle portfolio with a diesel-powered option for last mile delivery. This introduction follows the introduction of the Eicher Pro X EV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year.

The range uses a newly developed E449 diesel engine, which the company claims offers fuel efficiency and performance for city and near-city operations. The vehicle includes a 10 foot 8 inch cargo deck and a service interval of 30,000 kilometres.

The offering is available in 3-tonne and 3.5-tonne gross vehicle weight variants. Safety and comfort features include crash-test certified metallic cabin, D+2 seating, driver state monitoring system and daytime running lamps.

Connectivity is provided through the My Eicher app, which offers predictive diagnostics, a remote immobilizer and real-time monitoring through a 24×7 uptime centre.
