Rahul Gandhi said, “Even after 20 years of BJP rule, children do not have plates to eat mid-day meal.” He described it as “embarrassing” for both Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He wrote in a scathing post, “These are the same innocent children on whose dreams the future of the country depends, and they do not even get a plate of respect. There has been a BJP government for more than 20 years, and even the children’s plate has been stolen – their ‘development’ is just an illusion.”
Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to stay overnight in Pachmarhi and will go to Bhopal by helicopter on Sunday for further programs.
Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge is expected to attend the deliberations, highlighting the strategic importance of Madhya Pradesh as a key battleground ahead of the national elections, party sources said.
