A McDonald’s The customer who launched Hot Cup coffee The man who was involved in a brawl over a Michigan store manager has now been identified, according to police.

a viral Video, The video, shared Tuesday by the Buena Vista Police Department, captures the moment a woman angrily confronts the manager at a McDonald’s Dixie Highway location, claiming she waited more than an hour for her online order and wants a refund for two sandwiches.

The woman can be heard yelling at the employee and calling him a “liar.” The manager responded, “You have received your coffee. That’s all you were charged. Your refund will take up to 48 hours.”

As the manager turned back, the customer shouted, “F*** you. Grab a hot coffee,” before throwing the scalding drink on his back.

Detective Russ Pahsen of the Buena Vista Police Department said the employee suffered minor burns. MLIVE,

Pahsen told the outlet that within minutes of posting the video, residents helped police identify the suspect, a 48-year-old woman.

“I must have gotten about 100 tips,” Pahsen said Wednesday. “Within about two minutes, we identified him.”

“Thank you all for your quick responses. We have identified the suspect,” police updated the Facebook post.

The department has not posted anything else about the incident on Facebook.

Pahsen said police have not been able to locate the suspect. He told the outlet that he has submitted paperwork to the Saginaw County Prosecutor’s Office requesting that the woman be charged with aggravated assault.

Independent The Buena Vista Police Department has been contacted for further comment.
