Mumbai, Nov 7 (IANS) Opposition parties and anti-corruption activists on Friday criticized the Mahayuti government for “dropping” the name of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s son and partner in Amedia Enterprises LLP, Parth Pawar, from the FIR filed in connection with the multi-crore deal of 40 acres of “Mahar Watan” land (classified as government land) in Mundwa Koregaon Park.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and former leader of opposition in the state council, Ambadas Danve, in his post on Twitter said, “In the Koregaon Park case, an FIR has been filed, but the name of Parth Pawar or his company has clearly been left out! This means the government’s magic trick has started, and that too within just 24 hours of the matter coming to light. This will not work, Chief Minister @Dev_Fadnavis sir. Officials are investigating.” This case, including that of Additional Chief Secretary Vikas Kharge, certainly has a spotless image, but considering the names implicated in the case, the government should also appoint a retired judge to conduct a detailed investigation.”
Congress legislature party leader Vijay Wadettiwar also demanded registration of a case against Parth Pawar.
He further said that Ajit Pawar should resign.
Wadettiwar claimed, “In the Pune land scam case, Amedia Enterprises LLP is involved, in which Parth Pawar is a partner, with his signature. So why was a case registered only against Digvijay Patil? The Mahayuti government means you eat, I eat, and we will save each other.” He reiterated the point of registering a case against Parth Pawar.
“In the Pune land scam case, it is now being said that the authority to make the transaction was given to Digvijay Patil, but where did the money come from? Who made the transaction and how did it happen? What was the reason for the stamp duty waiver? Efforts are on to save Parth Pawar; therefore, an investigation committee headed by a High Court judge should be appointed in this case. All revenue department officials, Industries Department, Sheetal Tejwani related to this case should be investigated.”
He said Ajit Pawar “cannot escape responsibility” by saying he had nothing to do with it.
Anti-corruption activist Anjali Damania also criticized the exclusion of Parth Pawar in the FIR.

He further said, “The committee that will be formed this time should not only have government officials but also representatives of the public. I am ready to make this representation.”
Former Maharashtra Navnirman Sena MLA Raju Patil commented that the Pune land dispute was the result of “ongoing infighting” between the three ruling partners, BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP.
“At present, there is a big race going on in the government to do scams. The mentality has become that do scams openly and the people of Delhi will handle it. What is the maximum that will happen? The scam will be caught, right? If caught, come back, which means there will be no investigation into the scam. The latest example of this is the tender scam of Rs 4000 crore in the Thane-Borivali Tunnel of the MMRDA department; tenders were called again for that work, but there was no investigation into how it was done. It happened.” Whether the scam happened or who did it,” Patil said.
He further said, “Pune’s Jain boarding scam of Rs 300 crore came to light, later it was quashed and the matter closed. There was no investigation in that case either. Now the Pune land scam is coming to light. Nothing will happen in this case too. Because the mentality of the people in power right now is: steal openly, if theft is caught then return the stolen goods and be ready to steal again. In fact, they were assured of this by the Delhi overlords.” Will happen.”
