Patna/New Delhi, Nov 6 (IANS) On the last day of her three-day campaign for the Bihar Assembly elections, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta addressed four large public meetings, and sought votes for the NDA to keep away ‘Jungle Raj’.
During his speeches, he strongly attacked the Grand Alliance, declaring that “the villains of corruption will now go to jail, while the incompetents will spend their time holidaying abroad”.
CM Gupta affirmed that the NDA government is the true guarantor of development, security and stability, adding that the days of “Jungle Raj” are over and Bihar is now ready to move forward on the path of comprehensive progress.
The Delhi Chief Minister addressed public meetings in four assembly constituencies, Warisaliganj, Sherghati, Dehri and Karghar, where she expressed confidence in the NDA’s decisive victory in the upcoming elections and highlighted in detail the key development initiatives of the government.
The Chief Minister said that the people of Bihar are intelligent and knowledgeable, fully capable of shaping their future with clarity and conviction.
He emphasized that the progress Bihar has achieved in the last 15-20 years was possible only under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Questioning the credibility of the Grand Alliance, he said, “What moral right do those whose hands are tainted with corruption and scams have to ask for votes?”
Making a veiled attack on RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, he reminded the public how some leaders have stooped so low as to embezzle money even for cattle fodder, exploit the earnings of the poor and farmers’ land, and fail in their duty to protect the dignity of women.
Targeting Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress, Chief Minister Gupta said, “This is Bihar. Here, only those who win the hearts of the people are the true leaders. The villains of corruption will now go to jail.”
He said that those who mislead the public with lies and illusions are neither true well-wishers of the public nor worthy of political respect.
He said, “While the people of Bihar struggle for their rights, such unworthy people spend their time holidaying abroad.”
The Chief Minister emphasized that the NDA government has firmly placed Bihar on the path of progress by setting up new hospitals, constructing airports and introducing hundreds of new trains.
He said, “If these development efforts had started years ago, Bihar would never have lagged behind. During the days of ‘Jungle Raj’, the state was lost in the darkness of the lantern. It has taken a lot of effort to bring Bihar back on track – and it is important now to maintain this momentum.”
Highlighting the deep emotional bond between Delhi and Bihar, the Chief Minister said, “I come from Delhi, and I can say with full responsibility that when Bihar progresses, Delhi celebrates; and when Delhi prospers, every village in Bihar receives the blessings of the mother whose son works in Delhi and the father whose family lives there.”
She assured all the families from Bihar living in Delhi that being their elder sister, she will always stand by them to ensure their safety and respect.
Urging the people to continue supporting development, the Chief Minister said, “The pace of Bihar’s progress should not slow down now. The coming days will shape the destiny of the state and that destiny should be defined by development, stability and pride.”
