Jaipur, Nov 5 (IANS) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is set to take charge of the BJP’s campaign for the Antah Assembly by-election, with a show to be held on November 6, just four days before the poll campaign ends.
A special chariot has been prepared for the Chief Minister’s road show, in which prominent BJP leaders including former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, State President Madan Rathod, MP Dushyant Singh and BJP candidate Morpal Suman will participate.
The joint presence of these leaders is being seen as a strong message of party unity on the polling day.
The BJP’s delay in announcing its Anta candidate had sparked speculation of internal differences, with the opposition alleging that the party was divided into factions.
However, the upcoming road show – which will feature top leaders from the state together – aims to counter these narratives and display a united front.
During the campaign, Vasundhara Raje has also appealed to the Rajput community to extend full support to BJP candidate Morpal Suman, underscoring the importance of community mobilization in the by-election.
The Chief Minister will reach Mangrol at 12 noon, where his road show will start from Subhash Chowk and Azad Chowk and go till Siswali Tiraha.
The Chief Minister is expected to stay in Mangrol till 4 pm, during which he will also interact with local leaders and review the party’s election strategy.
Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje entered the campaign a day earlier on Tuesday by holding worker meetings in Siswali and Anta city divisions.
Before his arrival, MP Dushyant Singh – his son and representative of Jhalawar-Baran constituency – was actively campaigning in the area.
Earlier, Madan Rathod had made a brief visit to Anta to review the campaign. Now with the top leaders coming together, the BJP aims to make a final push for unity and momentum in the final phase of the election campaign.
