Le Carré’s sons Simon Cornwell and Stephen Cornwell told Vanity Fair That’s David Farr, showrunner of night managerThe night before le Carré’s death, the idea for a second season came to him in a dream. The brothers also said that they believe continuity is what their father would want.
“When a lot of writers pass, their estates have all kinds of strict rules. You wouldn’t change this or that,” said Simon Cornwell. “And the letter from my dad said, ‘You know what I stand for, I respect what I stand for, but only you can decide where to go next.’ And this is a kind of invitation.”
In A recent interview with IndependentSandy Starr Petrie said: “I think I’m going to take a guess [le Carré] Will be very proud of the new one. But obviously there was no novel to base it on, so it’s a really hard thing to pull off.”

It’s really cool.”
