Florida GOP Rep. Randy Fine has branded a conservative media icon tucker carlson “The Most Dangerous Anti-Semite in America” in response to hosting a white supremacist. Nick Fuentes on their eponymous show.
Speaking at the Republican Jewish Coalition conference in Las Vegas on Saturday, Fine, who delights in the nickname “Hebrew Hammer,” called out the former Fox News host in an impassioned address.
“It’s easy to talk about antisemitism On the left, okay Said“I want to talk about the dark force rising on our side. Many speakers have talked about the rise of anti-Semitism on the right. But it’s not enough to say platitudes or platitudes about the fight. We must call evil by its name.”
After introducing Carlson by saying he was his father’s favorite anchor, the congressman announced, “Make no mistake. Today, Tucker Carlson is the most dangerous anti-Semite in America. He has decided to assume the position of leader of the modern Hitler Youth.”
He continued to list Carlson’s crimes, as he saw them: “For broadcasting and displaying people who celebrate Nazis, who call for the destruction of Israel, defend Hamas, even criticize the President. [Donald] Trump to stop Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Friends, make no mistake: Tucker is not asked for,
To make his point, Fine — and several members of his audience gathered in the front row — held red campaign-style signs that read: “Tucker is not MAGA.”
Independent Tucker Carlson has been contacted for comment.
Fine’s attack on Carlson was the latest example of the backlash over his two-hour interview with Fuentes. In their conversation broadcast last week, Carlson’s guest praised Joseph Stalin, lamented “organized Jewry in America” and stressed the importance of being “pro-white.” At the same time, the host himself faced criticism for lashing out at “Christian Zionists” on the American right.
Amid consequences, conservative think-tank Heritage Foundation was accused of Attempt to distance himself from Carlsen By removing his name from an online donation page sponsored by him.
Foundation President Kevin Roberts responded to the allegation video statement on Thursday in which he said: “Christians can criticize the State of Israel without being anti-Semitic. And, of course, anti-Semitism must be condemned.”
He added: “Conservatives should feel no obligation to support any foreign government, no matter how much pressure there is from the globalist class or from their mouthpieces in Washington.”
Roberts further warned against the tendency to “cancel out” voices with whom one might disagree, stressed that Carlson remains “a close friend” of his organization, and condemned the “toxic coalition” trying to bring him down.
Picking up on that last phrase in her Saturday speech, Fine said: “If people who support Tucker Carlson want to see a toxic coalition, they just need to look in the mirror.”
The congressman said he would cancel a planned upcoming appearance at a Heritage Foundation event. He said he would no longer welcome the organization’s personnel to his Capitol Hill office, advising his GOP colleagues to do the same.
Elsewhere in his address, Fine condemned his fellow Republicans, thomas massey And Marjorie Taylor Greene, Questioning American support for Israel, he said, “Sometimes I marvel at their stupidity. Other days, they are evil. It makes me sick to my stomach to even sit in the same room with them.”
No less surprisingly, he also attacked progressive Democrats Rashida Tlaib And Ilhan Omar and New York mayoral candidate Zohran MamdaniWhom he has called for to be deported despite being an American citizen.
Fine was much less clear about the Vice President JD VanceHowever, who rejected a scam Anti-Semitic comments made in Young Republican group chat last month by simply saying, “kids do stupid things,” ignoring the fact that many of the perpetrators were in their 30s.
An interviewer asked about Vance. sudden dismissal of the case At a recent question-and-answer session at the University of Mississippi, Fine learned from the House Speaker mike johnson‘s playbook and Said: “I haven’t seen it, so I can’t comment about it. I think it was quite a long show, so I haven’t seen it.”
