Patna, Nov 3 (IANS) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday launched a scathing attack on the India Bloc and took a sarcastic dig at the alliance’s three top leaders, calling them ‘Pappu, Tappu and Appu’.
Addressing an election rally in Keoti Assembly constituency of Darbhanga as part of the campaign for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, the UP Chief Minister targeted Congress, RJD and SP.
Comparing Mahatma Gandhi with the three symbolic monkeys, CM Yogi said, “Mahatma Gandhi had three monkeys – one who does not lie, one who does not hear wrong words, and one who does not see wrong things. Similarly, three monkeys have joined the INDI alliance – Pappu, Tappu and Appu. Pappu cannot speak the truth, Tappu cannot see the truth and Appu cannot hear the truth.”
He also accused Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi of making statements against the country during his foreign trips.
Taking aim at RJD, CM Yogi said that Bihar was plagued with genocide and anarchy during Lalu rule.
CM Yogi said, “70 massacres took place between 1990-2005 during the RJD government. Naxalite activity was at its peak. They created caste-based organizations in Bihar, pitting one caste against another.”
He also repeated his line “Batoge to Katoge and Ek Rahoge Safe Rahoge” during the rally.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that only the NDA government can ensure rapid development of the state.
He said the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya and the ongoing construction of Devi Janaki temple in Sitamarhi are examples of cultural projects being completed under the NDA.
He further said that the development of the proposed Ram-Janaki corridor connecting Ayodhya and Sitamarhi is being done on a war footing.
Claiming that travel time between Lucknow and Darbhanga has reduced significantly due to improvements in infrastructure, CM Yogi said, “Earlier it used to take 16 hours; now it takes just 45 minutes. This is the strength of the double engine government.”
Yogi also claimed that law and order has improved in Bihar after Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power and the state has witnessed peace in recent years.
He said that Narendra Modi has given respect to the identity of Mithila by establishing the Makhana Board.
Attacking the opposition, CM Yogi alleged that during the RJD-Congress rule, the ration meant for the poor was wasted.
He also said that Article 370 has been abrogated under the Modi government, and now anyone, including people from Bihar, can visit and settle in Jammu and Kashmir normally.
