Patna, Nov 2 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s campaign for Bihar elections on Sunday saw him hold two back-to-back rallies in Arrah and Nawada in Bihar, followed by a road show in Patna.
PM Modi’s series of rallies days ahead of the assembly elections has excited and energized the public in general, and the Bihar BJP leadership has developed high hopes that the campaign will translate into a thunderous mandate for the party.
Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal, while talking to reporters after PM Modi’s rally, expressed confidence that NDA will form the next government in Bihar with two-thirds majority.
He told reporters, “Public confidence in the work done by Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the development of Bihar has been strengthened. This time the people of Bihar will form the NDA government with two-thirds majority.”
RLM chief and key NDA ally Upendra Kushwaha said that tremendous enthusiasm is being seen in every district of Bihar where PM Modi’s rallies are being held.
Kushwaha said, “Today lakhs of people gathered in Arrah. This is a clear message that the people of Bihar want to see the NDA government again. That is why such a large number of people have come to listen to the Prime Minister.”
LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Hulas Pandey said, “It is a matter of pride for us that Prime Minister Modi himself is coming to Bihar to bless the NDA candidates. His arrival has infused new energy into the entire state. Now it is certain that the people of Bihar will ensure the victory of NDA candidates on as many seats as possible.”
Whereas Tejashwi Yadav had said in a statement that the results will be declared on 14th, our oath will be taken on 18th and by 26th November all the criminals will be in jail.
Upendra Kushwaha hit back at Tejashwi Yadav’s statement that criminals would be put in jail if his alliance wins the state, saying, “He is making such statements to boost his morale, whereas the reality is that RJD itself has given tickets to many candidates with criminal background.”
