New Delhi, Nov 1 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday joined the nationwide celebrations as Lucknow was named a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy – a global recognition for Indian culture and traditions.

Calling upon food lovers from across the world to visit Lucknow, the Prime Minister, in a message on X, said that Lucknow is synonymous with a vibrant culture, at the heart of which lies its rich culinary tradition.

He said that the UNESCO recognition highlights this unique aspect of the city and called upon people, tourists and travelers to experience the uniqueness of Lucknow at least once.

Responding to a post by Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who shared details of the UNESCO honor for the Uttar Pradesh capital, PM Modi wrote on Twitter: “Lucknow is synonymous with a vibrant culture, with a great culinary culture at its core.
