“Our strikes have had a greater impact than sanctions,” said HUR head Kirill Budanov, referring to international sanctions imposed on Russia over its all-out war and invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

Elsewhere, one civilian was killed and 15 others were wounded after Russia launched a ballistic missile attack on southern Ukraine on Saturday morning, local official Vitaly Kim said. He said a child was among those injured in the attack on Mykolaiv Razi and that Russia used an Iskander missile.

Ukraine’s emergency service said another Russian attack early Saturday caused a fire at a gas plant in the central Poltava region.

The latest attacks come as Russia continues massive drone and missile attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure – attacks that led to power outages and restrictions across Ukraine earlier this week. Kyiv It has been described as a “systematic energy panic”.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Moscow launched 223 drones into Ukraine overnight Saturday, of which 206 were shot down. Seventeen targets in seven Ukrainian regions were attacked, the air force said, without giving details.

Russia also attacked an agricultural enterprise in Ukraine’s northern Chernihiv region, injuring a 66-year-old woman there, according to a Telegram update from regional government official Viacheslav Chaus.
