Bhopal, November 1 (IANS) Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted the employment generation and industrial boom during the vibrant 70th Foundation Day celebrations organized on the theme “Abhyudaya Madhya Pradesh – Year of Industry and Employment” on Saturday, describing Madhya Pradesh’s transformative two-decade boom as an eclipse of the state’s progress in the last 55 years.

Addressing reporters at an exhibition at the Lal Parade Ground, Yadav unveiled a roadmap to create over 100,000 jobs, fulfilling the BJP’s manifesto promises amid a three-day cultural festival blending heritage and modernity.

“Our 20-year journey has overshadowed the last 55 years. We have provided jobs to 60,000 people – this is self-evident,” Yadav declared, giving credit for clearing the Public Service Commission backlog and the ongoing 2025 examinations. In the industrial sector, the state has invested Rs 8 lakh crore, paving the way for 600,000 new roles through the private sector.

Announcing the release of the government’s Vision 2047 document to chart sustainable development, he said, “This momentum puts Madhya Pradesh at the forefront of Developed India 2047.” Dr. Yadav said that while declaring a public holiday, the celebrations will also be started with Kalidas Samaroh, in which the classical Sanskrit poet will be honored with his theatrical skills.

The main attraction will be the staging of “Natika Vikramaditya”, a grand epic drama depicting the valor, justice and benevolence of Emperor Vikramaditya, which is scheduled for repeat performance on November 2 and 3. An extensive exhibition will showcase the state’s past glory along with cutting-edge developments, including a spectacular display of an ancient temple in Bandar Abbas, Iran – indicative of Madhya Pradesh’s far-reaching cultural imprints.
