Hyderabad, October 31 (IANS) Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar has alleged that Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy used derogatory language and demanded an unconditional apology from him.

The BJP leader took to the ‘X’ on Friday night to condemn the comments made by the Chief Minister while addressing a rally as part of the campaign for the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election.

Bandi Sanjay wrote, “Strongly condemn the comments made by Telangana CM Revanth Reddy about India. He stooped so low, using derogatory language, saying that Pakistan kicked us, and India did not retaliate. This is an insult to the armed forces, who courageously destroyed terrorist camps in Pakistan during Operation Sindoor. In India, every street echoes with pride at the courage of our soldiers.”

He claimed that Operation Sindoor is being praised across the world as a symbol of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decisive attack against terrorism. “The Chief Minister should tender an unconditional apology to the people of India and the brave soldiers who risked their lives for our country,” the state minister said.

Earlier, while campaigning for Congress candidate Naveen Yadav, the Chief Minister targeted BJP leaders over their remarks of doing ‘carpet bombing’ in Jubilee Hills and asked them why they did not do the same during the war against Pakistan.

He asked whether Union Minister Kishan Reddy and prisoner Sanjay Kumar had brought any funds for the state. The CM said, “They are shamelessly saying that they will bomb Jubilee Hills. BJP MPs are roaming in Jubilee Hills without asking for funds from Prime Minister Modi.”

The chief minister was also accompanied by Congress leader and former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin, who took oath as minister of state during the day.

Revanth Reddy also questioned the BJP for objecting to the inclusion of Mohammed Azharuddin as a minister in its cabinet.

“Why is BJP so angry with Azharuddin being given ministerial post?”. CM asked.

He promised to take the responsibility of development of Jubilee Hills after the by-election with the support of Azharuddin and Naveen Yadav.
