The day-long event in the capital area of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar will begin with ‘Dil Ki Baat’ at around 10 am, where PM Modi will meet around 2,500 children who have been successfully treated for congenital heart diseases under the ‘Gift of Life’ initiative at Sri Satya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital.
Shortly after, he is expected to launch ‘Shanti Shikhar’, a contemporary spiritual education facility run by Brahma Kumaris. According to the PIB release, at around 11:45 am, he will unveil the statue of late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and officially dedicate the new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building in the state capital.
Assembly Complex Chhattisgarh Assembly, which is built on the green building concept, has a rain water harvesting system and solar power facilities. The building has been constructed according to green construction principles.
At around 1:30 pm, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum and Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial. He will also unveil the statue of state tribal leader Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh on horseback and launch the museum’s website and e-book ‘Adi Shaurya’.
PM Modi will later attend the silver jubilee celebrations of the formation of Chhattisgarh, known as ‘Rajat Mahotsav’, at around 2:30 pm, where he will lay the foundation stone and launch several development projects in various sectors.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of a four-lane greenfield highway, which will be built by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) under the Bharatmala project at an estimated cost of Rs 3,150 crore, from Pathalgaon-Kunkuri to the Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand border.
Other power, energy, industry and petroleum projects to be unveiled by PM Modi include new power substations, a 489-km natural gas pipeline and a petroleum oil storage near Raipur, built at a cost of about ₹1,950 crore.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of two smart industrial areas, one at Bijletla in Rajnandgaon district and the other at Siladehi-Gatwa-Birra in Janjgir-Champa district, to encourage industrial growth and employment.
Apart from this, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of the Pharmaceutical Park in Sector-22, Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur. This park will be used exclusively for the production of pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
The rural livelihood projects to be inaugurated by PM Modi include 12 new Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Program (SVEP) blocks in nine districts and 3.51 lakh completed houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) (PMAY-G).
