Some fans joked that Larson should have been the one to headline, or questioned why she was not headlining her own arena tour.
Larson has now reflected on the success of the tour, saying that she feels she still has “a lot of work to do” to prepare her live audiences, explaining that the McRae tour was a great opportunity to do so.

“I’m not ignorant of the fact that I feel like I have a lot of work to do, especially when it comes to touring in America, just to build my live audience. And I feel like [the Tate McRae tour] This was a great opportunity for me to put myself in front of the perfect crowd.
Larson said she thought it was “the most amazing match” to perform for McRae’s fans, adding that they really appreciated the shows she put on with her four dancers.
She said, “I don’t know if I expected it to blow up on social media the way it did, but I knew it was an amazing opportunity, and I got really excited when I got booked for it.”
She continued: “Obviously in a dream world, I’d be willing to be a headliner – I’d go out and headline my own shows here in Europe. You just have to be a little bit realistic.

“I would be foolish to announce a worldwide arena tour right now… I haven’t achieved that yet [outside Europe]But I wish to and hope to be able to do so in the near future.”
Larson said there is a big difference between an artist receiving positive feedback on social media and ticket or album sales.
“You have to keep shoving it down people’s throats until they say, OK, I’ll listen, I’ll go and buy a ticket,” she said. “But it’s a good first step and it’s amazing to feel that people are excited about it, and I think I’m really trying to live in the moment and savor that feeling.”
Larson released her fifth studio album, midnight Sun, On September 26, to positive reviews. The record made her her fourth No. 1 in Sweden and also charted within the top 40 in the UK and other countries around the world.
She will perform at London’s Wembley Arena on 5 November before beginning the European leg of her Midnight Sun Tour.
