Bhopal, October 31 (IANS) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday greeted the citizens of Madhya Pradesh on the eve of its 70th Foundation Day, which will be celebrated on November 1.

Yadav said that established on November 1, 1956, Madhya Pradesh has embarked on a new journey of development in the last two decades, which has propelled it towards becoming one of the leading states of India.

Yadav said, “Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the citizens of our beloved Madhya Pradesh on its 70th Foundation Day. Let us together build a self-reliant Madhya Pradesh and contribute in building a developed India.”

The Chief Minister said that it is a coincidence that this year’s Rajyotsav (State Foundation Day) will be celebrated on the auspicious occasion of Devuthani Ekadashi.

He said, “I am happy to share that now all festivals are being celebrated with great enthusiasm and inclusivity. Our cultural heritage continues to inspire in the transition from ancient to modern.”

Highlighting the rich history and heritage of the state, Yadav said Madhya Pradesh is blessed with vast natural resources and cultural heritage, forests, rivers, fertile lands, minerals, craftsmanship, arts, traditions and festivals.

Yadav said, “We are blessed with the sacred presence of Narmada, Chambal, Parvati and Shipra rivers and the blessings of Lord Mahakal. This land is the birthplace of Lord Parashuram, the land of education of Lord Krishna and the place of meditation of Adi Shankaracharya.”

In Madhya Pradesh, Lord Rama spent significant time in Chitrakoot, where great rulers like King Nala, Bhartrihari and Vikramaditya ruled.

The Chief Minister said, “I am very proud to say that Madhya Pradesh is continuously moving forward from heritage to holistic development while maintaining its historical glory and natural splendor.”

Yadav further said that in the last year, the state has achieved several milestones in industrial investment, and his government is making all efforts to bring in more investment and development.

The Chief Minister said that in the last two years of his government, the state has achieved historic progress in industry, agriculture, dairy, energy, environment and social empowerment.
