Bhopal, October 30 (IANS) Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Deora on Thursday said that Madhya Pradesh has seen all-round development under the BJP government and is now moving towards becoming a fully developed state by 2047.
Senior BJP leader Deora made this comment in an article written ahead of the 70th Foundation Day of Madhya Pradesh to be celebrated on November 1.
Madhya Pradesh was formed as a state on November 1, 1956, and coincidentally, was bifurcated on the same date in 2000 when Chhattisgarh was created as a separate state.
Devda wrote, “My heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all the citizens of the state on this important occasion. It is a time to be proud of Madhya Pradesh’s achievements and honor all those who have contributed to its building.”
The Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is ready for rapid economic development on the basis of youth energy and abundant natural resources. “The state’s fertile land, rich water resources and reliable power supply form a strong foundation for development,” he said.
He said the government aims to double the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) by 2029. He said improvements in rural infrastructure and steady flow of industrial investment have made Madhya Pradesh an attractive destination for business.
With an industrial land bank of over 1.2 lakh acres, the state is developing over 112 industrial areas and has identified 14 greenfield sites. Deora said, proactive and investor-friendly policies have made it easier to do business in Madhya Pradesh.
He said, “Today, we can say with conviction that Madhya Pradesh has undergone a complete transformation and is set to scale even greater heights. During this ‘Amrit Kaal’ of India’s progress, Madhya Pradesh has also set ambitious goals.”
The Deputy Chief Minister also highlighted the natural and cultural richness of the state. “Our fertile soils, forests and water bodies complement a proud cultural heritage,” he wrote.
Concluding his article, Deora said: “Guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Madhya Pradesh is set to climb new heights of progress. With the cooperation of its citizens, the state will achieve its developmental goals.”
