AJ Brimson is in line to make his mark England Debut at full-back in Saturday’s second Ashes Test against Australia in liverpool with jack welsby dropped from sean wayne19-man match day squad.
Wayne promised to make changes after one Weak England lost the opening match 26-6 at Wembley last weekend, and Wigan half-back Harry Smith and former Canberra Warriors forward Morgan Smithies are also included with Welsby out along with John Bateman and Ethan Harvard.
Brimson – who previously represented Australia at the Nines World Cup – switched his national allegiance earlier this year, and arrives in camp after being named player of the year for the Gold Coast Titans in the NRL.
“I needed to make some changes to the team that lost at Wembley last week and I’ve done that,” Wayne said.
“The beauty of having such a strong team is that we are bringing some very talented players into the team ahead of this weekend’s games, but the fact is that this time we just need to be better.
“I want us to do our best, play at the level I know we can and ultimately level this Ashes series.
“We are heading to a sold-out Hill Dickinson Stadium at Everton and I have no doubt that the English supporters will support the team and be in the 18th for us on Saturday afternoon.”
