Jabalpur, Oct 30 (IANS) With the centenary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) approaching, top functionaries of the organization have gathered in Jabalpur for a three-day ‘All India Executive Board Meeting’, with Panch Parivartan (five-pillar change) at the center of their deliberations as part of preparations for the ‘Shatabdi Varsh’ (centenary).

The meeting, which began on October 30 in Kachnar town, is expected to prepare a roadmap for the year-long outreach initiative and consider the ideological direction laid out in the Sarsanghchalak’s recent Vijayadashami address.

This year the centenary year was formally launched with major programs across the country including Nagpur during Vijayadashami celebrations.

There will be three days of discussion on five key areas, which we know as Panch Parivartan; Social harmony, family values, environmental consciousness, civic discipline and self-reliant Indian lifestyle.

“It calls on citizens to adopt changes in their personal conduct and community engagement to build a strong and self-reliant nation,” a source said.

Now, the focus has shifted to implementation – along with the recent Vijayadashami celebrations and a review of the prevailing national scenario, programs like Home Contact Campaign, Hindu Sammelan, Sadbhav Baithak and major public seminars are on the agenda.

The meeting was inaugurated by Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale, who paid floral tributes to Mother India.

The meeting was attended by 407 delegates from all 11 regions and 46 provinces, including state level Sanghchalaks, Karyakharas and Pracharaks.

Six co-Sarkaryavahs – Dr Krishna Gopal, Mukund, Arun Kumar, Ramdutt Chakradhar, Alok Kumar and Atul Limaye – along with members of the All India Executive and specially invited workers are also present. A significant part of the discussion is expected to focus on the themes mentioned in the Sarsanghchalak’s annual address – social harmony, family consciousness (Kutumba Prabodhan), environmental responsibility and civic duty.

These themes are likely to shape the Sangh’s activities in the coming year, especially as it prepares to celebrate its centenary.

The inaugural session also paid tribute to several notable personalities who passed away recently, including former Rashtra Sevika Samiti chief Pramila Tai Medhe, senior campaigner Madhu Bhai Kulkarni, former chief ministers Vijay Rupani (Gujarat) and Shibu Soren (Jharkhand), senior Delhi leader Vijay Malhotra, eminent scientist Kasturirangan, former Governor L Ganesan, lyricist Piyush Pandey, film actors Satish Shah and Pankaj Dheer, comedian Asrani and famous Assamese musician Zubeen Garg.

Tributes were also paid to Hindu pilgrims killed in the Pahalgam incident, victims of the Air India tragedy and those who lost their lives in natural disasters in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Punjab and other parts of the country.

Updates on relief efforts were shared by volunteers, reaffirming the association’s commitment to service and social engagement.
