Thursday’s data published by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government Government (MHCLG) presented the relative levels of deprivation in regions or neighborhoods of England in 2025.
Jaywick had previously topped the list in the 2019, 2015 and 2010 publications.
Mr Faraz was elected MP for Clacton in July 2024.
Jaywick received international coverage in 2018, when it was used in a US election campaign advertisement showing bleak images of the area, unpaved roads and dilapidated houses, to warn voters about the consequences of not supporting Donald Trump ahead of the US midterm elections.
According to a statement on Tendring District Council’s website, the latest data highlights “the scale of the challenge” but “does not reflect the progress made since 2019 or the strength of the people who call Jaywick Sands home”.
Council leader Mark Stephenson said: “Jevick Sands is a truly special place – full of heart, pride and real community spirit.
“Together with local residents, we have made real progress and we have bold plans to go even further. But we can’t do it alone – we need the Government to do its bit.
“We are calling for £100 million of national flood funding to be allocated to Jaywick Sands and a cross-departmental taskforce to help solve the policy barriers holding our community back.
