Pooja had gone out to buy firecrackers on Sunday evening when this incident happened.
People of the area told the police that domestic fights often took place in Bhola’s house.
Meanwhile, the preliminary post-mortem report of the 11-year-old girl indicated that she died by suicide.
The autopsy report indicated suicide after seeing evidence including hanging marks on her neck. However, neighbors allege that the father and stepmother have murdered the minor.
Pratima Singh alleged that her granddaughter would often come to her secretly and complain about her father and stepmother beating her.
He alleged that Pooja often beat his step daughter. Even before Kali Puja and Diwali, the father had beaten the minor with a belt.
Her grandmother and neighbors alleged that the girl died due to torture by her stepmother and father.
