Government schools of Rajasthan will organize Mega PTM on 31st October

Jaipur, Oct 29 (IANS) The Rajasthan education department will hold a mega parent-teacher meeting (PTM) in all government schools in the state on October 31 with an aim to strengthen communication between teachers and parents and review the academic progress, attendance and behavior of students, officials said on Wednesday.

The meeting, starting simultaneously at 10 am in all government schools, is part of ‘Prakhar Rajasthan Abhiyaan 2.0’, which focuses on public participation in education and improving the quality of learning outcomes.

Officials said the PTM will help parents understand their children’s academic performance, discipline and attendance, while teachers will share strategies to enhance students’ learning.

Under the initiative, Shri Krishna Bhog will be organized in schools under the mid-day meal programme.

Parents can contribute to this bhog on occasions such as children’s birthdays, parents’ wedding anniversaries, or other auspicious events, thereby promoting a sense of participation and ownership in school activities.

The education department said the objective of the indulgence is to build stronger parent-school relationships and encourage new parents to enroll their children in government schools.

Teachers have been instructed to use this opportunity to increase school enrollment and strengthen community ties.

Officials issued instructions regarding organizing Shri Krishna Bhog under the Mid Day Meal Scheme.

As per the order of the state government, Prakhar Rajasthan Abhiyan 2.0, launched on September 5 to strengthen basic literacy and numeracy, will continue till December 5 across the state.

In view of this, all institution heads have been directed to organize maximum number of Shri Krishna Bhog programs in their respective schools to encourage community participation and increase parental involvement in education.

During the Mega PTM, schools will also host cultural performances, debates, essay writing, painting and poster or slogan competitions.

An exhibition of student achievements will showcase students’ learning outcomes, examination performance and creative works.

Teachers will also inform parents about future educational plans and educational goals.

The event coincides with National Unity Day (31 October) to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

On this occasion, all the participants will take the National Unity Pledge and short films promoting national unity and social harmony will be shown to inculcate the values ​​of unity and diversity among the students.
