Bhopal, Oct 29 (IANS) The Madhya Pradesh Assembly is set to convene its winter session from Monday, December 1, following an official notification issued by Governor Mangubhai Patel under Article 174(1) of the Constitution.

The session, marking the seventh sitting of the 16th Assembly, will see four days of legislative activities. According to the calendar released by the Assembly Secretariat on Wednesday, the meetings are scheduled on December 1, 2, 4 and 5, while December 3 has been marked as a holiday. Each day will start with Question Hour, followed by government business.

On Friday, December 5, the Assembly will also hear the business of private members in the last two and a half hours of the meeting.

The Assembly will meet daily from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm and then from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm, unless otherwise directed by the Speaker. Members have been informed to submit private bills by 4th November and resolutions by 20th November.

Notices of adjournment motion, calling attention motion, Rule 267-K cases and no-confidence motion will be accepted during office hours from November 25.

The Secretariat has prepared detailed protocols for submission of these notices, including designated officers and timing windows.

Notices received after 9:00 am on meeting days will be considered for the next day, while notices submitted on non-meeting weekdays will be accepted between 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Members are reminded to avoid sending notices to the residences of officials and to ensure that all submissions are properly signed and formatted.
